Anya Mokhova is a contemporary London-based artist, who creates installations and sculptural objects, which invite visitors to immerse themselves into constructed realities.

Passionate for history of arts and media experimentation, in her search for methods of artistic expression, Anya explores tallow, bee’s wax, soap, gold and brass. Incrustation, engraving and casting, linking rigid and soft, natural and artificial aim to create a visual language which is suggestive of a tactile interaction.

Inspired by classical frescoes and sculptures Anya’s works aim to provoke emotions and to question the boundaries between real and metaphysical, in visual, sensual and imaginative ways of perception of artist-created objects and space.
